UV Post-Curing

Revolutionary LC 3DPrint Box

The LC 3DPrint Box is a revolutionary UV curing unit, specially designed for post curing 3D printing materials. The new LC 3DPrint Box is equipped with 12 UV light bulbs which are strategically placed inside the unit. This ensures that a product is illuminated from all directions, which results in a quick and uniform curing cycle. The spacious inside (LxB:26cm; H:19,5cm) of the LC 3DPrint Box allows you to easily cure multiple products at once. In addition, the box has enough space to place an articulator inside. When necessary, the UV light bulbs can be changed easily.

LC 3DPrint Box Benefits

  • High load capacity (LxB 26 cm , H19,5 cm)
  • Full light spectrum (300-550 nm)
  • Short polymerization times
  • Controlled temperature for optimal curing
  • Noiseless
  • Objects are illuminated from all sides
  • New post-process method (without additional nitrogen)
  • Freedom to set individual exposure times
  • One Unit for all countries

Obtain excellent material properties

Post-curing is an UV light treatment to ensure that NextDent materials obtain full polymer conversion and its final color. Through post-curing the residual monomer is reduced to a minimum and highest mechanical properties are obtained. This procedure is a necessary step to produce a biocompatible end-product.

The new LC 3DPrint Box allows you to post-cure all of the NextDent 3D printing materials. Post-curing is required in order to obtain the final material properties. After the printing process the printed material is not yet fully cured and should be treated. Always follow the instructions for use relevant to the corresponding material. Post processing variates between different materials. Learn more about the LC 3DPrint Box specifications.

Laboratories and Clinics

Fast and high degree of precision

3D printing is one of the fastest growing technologies worldwide and has made his way into the dental field as well. This is no wonder, because 3D printing has some huge advantages. The 3D printing process is fast and a high degree of precision can be achieved. On top of that the 3D printing process is efficient and low on material costs when compared to milling or even the conventional methods.

Increase revenue

Digital workflow enables dental laboratories and clinics to optimise their production. With user friendly software a design is made within a matter of minutes. These designs are then printed with the NextDent material suitable for the application. Printing is fast since most printers are able to print multiple designs at ones. Because you have the possibility to print 24/7, dental laboratories and clinics can generate a bigger revenue.

Valuable asset

NextDent CE-certified and biocompatible 3D printing materials for dental applications are a valuable asset to dental laboratories and dental clinics! Models, splints, surgical guides, crowns, bridges, dentures and more. Exactly designed to a patient’s needs. All of these applications ready to be used, manufactured on 3D printers. Is this the future? For many laboratories and clinics this is already everyday reality!

OEM and Private Label

Create your own label

NextDent has received many questions with regards to OEM and private labelling. Private label is an opportunity to create your own unique line of 3D printing materials in Dental. If your company is considering an own brand in 3D printing products, we offer our customers private label possibilities.

Individual customer development

It is our mission to offer our customers OEM solutions on 3D printing materials. NextDent offers you a material portfolio which can be optimized towards customers’ needs and requirements. Together with our customers and our highly qualified team of chemist and engineers, we work to a clear conception about the areas of application and material requirement of the material of your product. We also take charge of all product-relevant documentation and packaging.

Research and Development

3D Printing Innovation

NextDent B.V. has joined forces with higher education institutes such as Fontys Applied Science Eindhoven and the Chemical Technology department of Utrecht University. They are involved in the continuous development of 3D printing technologies and related materials. Furthermore, we cooperate closely with well-known worldwide dental universities as well.

Our Partnerships

NextDent works closely with leading dental universities in the Netherlands, including ACTA Amsterdam and UMCG Groningen. Two clinical pilot research studies are currently underway, supervised by Professor Daniel Wismeijer.

The research focuses on printing temporary crowns and bridges on implants. NextDent has also partnered with researcher Joerd van der Meer, focusing on focussing on plints and retainers. We are working with both institutions in conducting an in-depth study into digital workflow at dental care and dental technology practices.

Leading manufacturer of dental 3D printing materials

NextDent B.V. was founded in 2012 in the Netherlands as an independent subsidiary company under the Vertex Global Holding. The main aim was to complement the dental materials portfolio of its affiliate Vertex-Dental B.V., which has a 77-year track record in developing and producing traditional denture materials and products. Within four years, NextDent became the leading developer and manufacturer of biocompatible dental 3D printing materials.

In January 2017, Vertex Global Holding merged with 3D Systems, a company that provides comprehensive 3D products and services, including 3D printers specifically designed for dental applications, print materials, on-demand parts services and digital design tools.

Our mission

The combination of 3D System’s disruptive Figure 4 platform and NextDent’s revolutionary materials will enable us to lead innovation in digital dentistry. We will leverage the unique opportunity to integrate our advanced materials and automated print workflows into transformative digital production solutions delivered to the dental practice and laboratory. Users of these solutions are able to produce trays, models, drilling templates, dentures, orthodontic splints, crowns and bridges with enhanced speed, precision and efficiency and lower cost compared to conventional procedures.

Biocompatible 3D printing materials

It is the sheer choice you have in printable materials for a wide range of dental applications that makes NextDent materials unique. Our products are classified in accordance with the medical device directive 93/42/EEC, making them suitable for local registrations as well. We offer material in a spectrum of colors, depending on the daily use and the preferences of our customers.

Dental 3D printers

In recent years, 3D Systems has developed a number of dental 3D printers that offer high precision and detail resolution. They are used for the processing of different dental materials, from metal (CoCrMo alloy) to biocompatible resins. Our dental solutions are designed for use in dental laboratories, making production methods faster, easier and more effective.

With the use of our new Figure 4 technology in dentistry, customers will soon be able to produce parts in minutes, versus hours on conventional systems. Using arrays of manufacturing modules, a finished part can be created every few seconds.
