3D Printing Innovation
NextDent has joined forces with TNO Additive Manufacturing Eindhoven in a PENROSE consortium. Together we are devoted to research and development in 3D printing, including new dental 3D printing technologies and the development of a various materials.
Higher education institutes such as Fontys University of Applied Science Eindhoven and the Chemical Technology Department of Utrecht University are involved in the continuous research and development of 3D printing technologies and related materials. Furthermore, we cooperate closely with well-known worldwide dental universities.
NextDent works closely with leading dental universities in the Netherlands, including ACTA Amsterdam and UMCG Groningen. Two clinical pilot research studies are currently underway, supervised by Professor Daniel Wismeijer.
The research focuses on printing temporary crowns and bridges on implants. NextDent has also partnered with researcher Joerd van der Meer, focusing on focussing on plints and retainers. We are working with both institutions in conducting an in-depth study into digital workflow at dental care and dental technology practices.
